ubuntu - DOCKER_OPTS do not work in config file /etc/default/docker

I have changed /etc/default/docker with DOCKER_OPTS="-H tcp://127.0.0.1:2375 -H unix:///var/run/docker.sock" (docker version 1.4.1 in ubuntu 14.04), but it do not take any effect for me (not listening at port 2375). terminal can't see copied folder - ubuntu

I have two Ubuntu 14.04 Server 64 bit machines. When i use "sudo apt-get install libboost-all-dev" on both machine, machine 1 gets libboost1.54 and machine 2 gets 1.58. ubuntu - Running a display-based program without calling sudo / not as root

I have an Ubuntu server that runs a program that uses the gpu. Till now, to run my program, I’ve been callingexport DISPLAY=:0export XAUTHORITY=/var/run/lightdm/root/:0Which works, however, this requires me to run my application as root, since root owns that :0 file. Ultimately, my question is how to configure my system to avoid this? Some background:This server is currently configured to bring up lightdm at startup. lightdm in turn starts Xorg, with -auth /var/run/sddm/root/:0, such that ps -aux shows this as a process:/usr/lib/xorg/Xorg -core ...Read more

ubuntu - Openbox: disable entire keyboard

I'm running Ubuntu Server (16.04.3 LTS) with X, Openbox and Chromium in kioskmode on a touchscreen device. It is starting up as a (non-root) user straight into the kiosk. There is no need for a mouse or keyboard, so I'm starting X with startx -- -nocursorwhat effectively disables the mouse. But the user still can plug in a keyboard and do all sorts of unwanted things with Chromium. So I'm looking for ways to disable the entire keyboard. To catch and disable every single key and key combination in Openbox rc.xml seems an impossible task to me. So ...Read more
