debian - How can I configure Octave to use gnuplot for plotting directly to image files?

I'm using Octave in a CLI only environment. I want to export plots to image files(jpg or png or any other image format). I read from manual that I can switch to gnuplot graphics by graphics_toolkit(gnuplot). I use the following commands in gnuplot to output a plot as file (as I can't use plot function in Octave due to absence of X11).set terminal pngset output "test.png"plot "data1.txt"unset outputBut I can't figure out a way to set terminal and output variables from Octave. So my question is how can I set those two variables from octave so th...Read more

I need to mount a filesystem after another one but because there is apparently no way to specify an order in /etc/fstab, I made a systemd unit file like that:[Unit][Service]Type=simpleExecStart=/bin/mount /mnt/dir[Install]WantedBy=multi-user.targetThe problem is that it doesn't fail, but it doesn't succeed either. When I manually do systemctl restart <service> nothing happen, the filesystem is not mounted. If I do mount /mnt/dir it works though......Read more

debian - LVM2 reporting a much smaller size than MDRAID

I have four 1.5TB drives raid 5'd with mdadm. According to mdadm, this raid group has a size of 4.5TB (makes sense as the cost of RAID 5 is ~1 disk's worth of space). On top of this mdraid, I have a lvm group. LVM reports (via pvdisplay) that only 3000GB (or 2.73 TiB) is available for the volume. What is going on here? Here is the output of various commands that might be useful: sudo mdadm --detail /dev/md2 /dev/md2: Version : 1.2 Creation Time : Sat May 26 18:28:26 2012 Raid Level : raid5 Array Size : 4395406848 (4191....Read more
