Windows Embedded Compact - backward compatibility

Would Windows CE 5.0 binaries be compatible on Windows Embedded Compact 7 and 8?I've searched the Internet for a long time with no answers that are thorough or definite enough concerning the backward compatibility of these OSs.Also I've tried to find the ceappcompat app mentioned here; it looked like it was supposed to be in the Platform Builder tools found in the installation of Windows Embedded Compact 7 x86, but it wasn't there....Read more

Test an app created in django 1.4 for compatibility with django 1.7

I have an existing application developed in django 1.4. I want it to upgrade to django 1.7.I can make the changes if some modules are deprecated since i don't need the backward compatibility. For this i need more information on which part of my application needs to be modified. So a testing tool that scans my application, and tells what needs to modified would be much better. Is there any tools as such? If so, please guide me through it.Thanks.----Edit----There is no such software available :(...Read more

I've searched but can't find any information to say either way.I found that BizTalk Server 2010 is compatible with AX2009 SP1 RU7: if this is not the correct site for this question, as it's not directly programming related; however I couldn't find another Stack Exchange site which looked more suitab...Read more

compatibility - Error when installing Visual Studio Tools for Apache Cordova CTP3.0 in Visual Studio 2013

I installed Multi-Device Hybrid Apps for Visual Studio 2013 CTP 2.0. I then updated VS2013 to update 4. Now I can't upgrade MDHA to 3.0 because it tells me to uninstall 2.0 first, however the uninstaller doesn't work. When trying to uninstall 2.0 from Programs and Features, it just goes through the setup and then doesn't remove the software from the Add/Remove list.I tried following this however it doesn't work: more

compatibility - Is it valid to have more than 1 <saml:assertions> in a SAML Token response

I am trying to provide compatibility between an existing SAML token system with JWT token schema. compatibility - Ruby/Rails - Working with both ruby-mysql and mysql2

I'm migrating a very big Rails 2.3 application from ruby 1.8 to 1.9. Along the way, I've had some database encoding issues that, it seemed, could only be resolved by moving from the old ruby-mysql gem to mysql2. This has worked fine for all ActiveRecord::Base ORM like queries (@users = User.find(:all, :conditions => {...}), etc), but the application also relies heavily on querying the DB directly for some performance related issues. It's quite common to see stuff like this:ActiveRecord::Base.connection.execute(optimized_sql).each_hash do |ro...Read more

compatibility - `_naked`: Trying to compile legacy 8051 (FX2) code with SDCC, newer version stumbles

I have legacy code for an embedded 8051 core (in a cypress FX2) that used to compile with other versions of SDCC. However, current SDCC doesn't know the _naked qualifier:delay.c:27: syntax error: token -> '_naked' ; column 21as triggered bystatic voidudelay1 (void) _naked{ _asm ; lcall that got us here took 4 bus cycles ret ; 4 bus cycles _endasm;}and other occurrences. As _naked practically is supposed to tell the C compiler to "nah, ignore the fact that you're a C compiler and understand that you'd need to save fra...Read more

compatibility - can i use bdb(berkeley db) file created by c implementation (python bsddb) by oracle berkeley db java edition?

I have a berkeley db file (*.bdb) which is created by the C implementation(python bsddb module). Is it possible to read this file by a pure java implementation of Berkeley Db? I tried to read it using berkeley db java edition (je) but could not. je throws out an exception saying that it could not detect the berkeley database. Are berkeley db files not inter operable across different implementations? If so, why?...Read more

compatibility - flex -l longest pattern match strategy - not here?

I have two lex rules and was wondering why I never matched the second rule. Instead rule 1 always fired upon the pattern2005-05-09-<data>[-]?[0-9]*[.][0-9]* { comma=0; printf("DEBUG: data 1 %s\n",yytext); strcat(data_line,yytext); }<data>[0-9]{4}[-][01][0-9][-][0-3][0-9][-][0-9]{2}[.][0-9]{2}[.][0-9]{2}[.][0-9]{6} {printf("DEBUG: data 2[%s]\n",yytext);/* 1996-07-15-hh.00.00*/I thought, flex/lex would follow the longest string match rule?Interestingly flex (without the -l lex compatibility) ...Read more
